We are all set for a magical summer as 60 unicorn statues appear landmark locations across Bristol and the surrounding area, raising awareness of the important work of Leukemia Care.
Severnside Community Rail Partnership is proud to announce the statue ‘Time Travelling Odyssey 2187’, decorated by local artist Alpha Wilson, is standing outside of Bristol Temple Meads station station for the duration of Unicornfest, thanks to the generous sponsorship from CrossCounty Trains and Community Rail Network.
We’ve also collaborated with GWR and First Bus to create a special guide to completing the trail by bus, rail and other forms of sustainable transport.
It is possible to reach all 60 Unicorns without using a car! We’ve highlighted options getting around by bus, rail, Bristol Ferry, along with trying the new WESTlink on-demand transport service to reach Chew Valley Lake and Cheddar Gorge. If you are feeling fit and adventurous why not make a day of taking the train to Yatton, hire a bike from the amazing Strawberry Line Cafe and Cycle Hire and pedal your way along the Strawberry Line to Cheddar, perhaps stopping off at Thatchers for some traditional Somerset refreshments to fuel your journey back.
